Helping Hands

STORY MAGIC

Long long ago there was a boy that lived in a tribe in Australia. The boy made some tricks. He didn´t have a mother and a father.

The boy was very lazy because he didn’t help the tribe. One day there was not water in the ponds, rivers and streams because the weather was very hot. When the dry season came people had to walk long ways to find water. He did not like to go and work with the other people so he made another trick and asked them to give him some water. The children and girls had to dig because they had to the collect the food, but he did nothing.

In a faraway place, the tribe people went to find some water. When they came the boy begged “oh, please give me some water” and the people gave him. But one day the people shouted “do you need some water? Well go and find it” However the boy didn’t like to go to find it by himself so he made another trick. He muttered “I will finish the trick “.

Before  very long the boy went to find the water bowls from the tribe people. But he didn’t find them, the boy looked under a bush, and there they were. He picked the water bowls one by one and he drank a very large drink. He covered the water with leaves. The people found the boy on the bush.

The people were exited and furious.  Then a strange magic made the bush grow into a gum tree. the boy was at the top of it with the water bowls and the people shouted “get back boy”.

“No” replied the boy.  Two men were the most furious of all the people so they climbed the tree. When they were catching the boy, he wailed and moaned. Then he fall down. He had the ears and the nose brown. Then, after some strange magic he turned into a koala. The boy was the first koala in the world, and when a person wants to climb his tree the koala will wail and moan.
